Dear students,
This week's blog topic will be movies. Here are a few questions to answer:
1. Do you prefer to watch movies in a movie theater or at home? Why?
2. What types of movies are your favorite?
3. What is the best movie you have seen recently?
I saw a delightful movie recently. Later I will tell you what it was!
Please react to your clssmates, as usual.
I prefer watching movies at home, because you feel more confer-table and you can do what ever you want.also, if you have emergency call or if you want to go to the restrooms you can pause the movie. I think it is much easier to watch movies at home. However, some movies have the HD feature ,and I think it is more fun to watch it on theater.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite types of movies are love , history and comedy.I think if the movie have all types in one ,it will be the best movie ever for me.
The recent movie I watch was the physician. I like it ,but I think as many American history movies the movie had lack of truth. The story was about English young man who lived in London in the dark ages period and he wanted to become a doctor. Then, he decided to go to the lighten cities were Middle East to the greatest doctor back then Ibn Sina. He went there to meet Ibn sina and he had wonderful relationship with him.The movie had many mistake They made Persians talk Arabic ,and they said that christen treated badly in middle East . The Truth is the Persian had there own language and there are many Arabs were christian and the Christianity started in the Middle East. Moreover, the Cities of knowledge were Baghdad and Damascus.
I agree with you, Enas!! I like to stay at home and watch DVD or online movies. I feel so comfortable that I even skip some boring details. Is that movie you mentioned the physician played by Tom Payne? I haven't seen it but I will make up to see the whole movie. Plus, your writing is good, clear and well-organized. I like it!

ReplyDeleteI prefer to watch movies at home as Enas does, but my reason sounds a little weird. That’s because of my tiredness and laziness, if I spend more than two hours in a theater. On the contrary, I could have more options on which part I prefer to watch carefully when I use controller on hand.
ReplyDeleteI love all types of movies, especially those top rated movies related to drama, comedy and romance.
Recently, I have watched a movie called “Happy-Go-Lucky”. This movie fits in some people like my age. The protagonist in the story was a primary school female teacher called poppy, who was 30 years. Although she was single without any saving, and lived in a small apartment with roommate all years, she could always discover happiness in the life. After she lost her bicycle, she did three things to drop off her bad luck: first, to prepare for a driver license; second, to study a flamenco dance; third, to make a boy friend. However, her life had undergone a series of changes. Poppy’s driving coach, Scott, was a serious and paranoid man. He required her to control life as controlling steering direction, in case of any incident; poppy’s dance teacher taught her the meaning of flamenco, “ The Gypsies are on a path of torture, but they don’t need a country, they have their own dignity-here is my place-a confident dance full of power”. Two teachers taught poppy different life: the former told her to face the reality; the latter inspired her to remain optimistic. Although Poppy eventually gave up Scott, she was benefitted from them and met her true lover.
We know that it’s impossible to get along well with each stranger, but some of them are deserved to be learned from, some must be stayed away, and others can be fallen love with. Just remember: please shed your charming and keep smiling every day. Be happy will be lucky!
I think one can always discover happiness in life is good, since he/she will not feel boring.
DeleteIt depends what kind of movie I am going to watch. I usually prefer to watch Sci-fi and action movies in a theater, because in my opinion most of these movies require better sound effects and bigger screen. However, I would also go to a movie theater to watch drama, comedy and other kinds of movies with friends.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy most kinds of movies except Horror.
Last week, my friend recommended me to watch a Korean movie Train to Busan. It talks about the protagonist and his daughter took a train to Busan. On the way to Busan, the zombie virus broke out in South Korea. There is a passenger who got the virus in the train, and more and more people became zombie. A couple of passengers struggle to survive. It’s actually not a horror movie. What impress the most is the movie reflects how selfishness of some people when they are facing death.
Train to Busan is still popular in Korea.
DeleteI like to see someday.
How can I download?
I prefer watching movie at theater. But it is not clean in the movie theater. There are lots of dust in the air. You can see the dust when the light goes to the screen. On the news there're lots of bacteria on the seat, also. I worry about that.
ReplyDeleteI like comedy and action movies which were taken at New York City.
Sort of "moonstruck","adjustment bureau" and stories of Woody Allen.
My favorite director is Tarsem Singh, Indian-American.
Mirror mirror, The fall, The cell - he made these movies.
Recently, I watched the movie "suicide squad".
It was quite interesting.
I heart about suicide squad,I though it was not a good one.I will watch it.

ReplyDeleteWell, I think I just lost a reply! I found all your comments very interesting. The only movie you mentioned that I have seen is "Moonstruck." Gil, I'd be interested to know which Woody Allen movies you have seen.
DeleteThe movie I mentioned in class was "Cafe Society" by Woody Allen. It has gotten mixed reviews, but my husband Lenny and I loved it. That is probably because it takes place in New York and Los Angeles - and Lenny and I met in L.A. We recognized many places that were mentioned in both cities. If you see it, let me know what you think.
See you all tomorrow,
Diana
